Every qualification PASMA offers for 2027 is registered on the SAQA national qualifications register. We link straight to each listing — because after what happened to colleges like CityVarsity, "trust us" is not good enough.

Short courses are skills programmes with a certificate of completion — they are not accredited national qualifications, and we don't market them as such.
QCTO, EISA, SAQA — in plain language.
QCTO — the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations — quality-assures occupational qualifications in South Africa. It accredits the delivery and certification of the qualification against the registered curriculum.
MICTSETA is the Assessment Quality Partner (AQP) for media and ICT qualifications — the sector body that oversees how the national assessment is designed and moderated.
SAQA maintains the national qualifications register at allqs.saqa.org.za. If a qualification is real, it is on that register with an ID, an NQF level, credits and a registration window — which is why we link every programme to its listing.
The EISA (External Integrated Summative Assessment) is the national exit exam for occupational certificates — set and quality-assured nationally, not by the college. Together with your Statement of Work Experience from the workplace block, it is what makes the certificate portable.
Note: exact phrasing of PASMA's own accreditation scope is being confirmed against the current accreditation letter before the 2027 intake opens; the SAQA register links above are the authoritative source and are unaffected by that review.
Why the old certificates retired.
South Africa is phasing out NATED (Report 191) qualifications nationally; final N Diploma awards close on 30 June 2029. PASMA's legacy N Diploma and National Certificates are retired from the 2027 offer, and the intake runs entirely on QCTO occupational certificates.
The full explainer — what changed, what the EISA means, and what to do if you're part-way through a NATED programme elsewhere — is on the transition page.
